- Communications- Advises the Council on the planning, development, and implementation of communications, marketing and public relations practices of the Council
- Executive - Serves in an overall advisory capacity to the Council in formulating policy.
- Finance - Reviews the financial status and monitors expenditures of the Council.
- Human Resources - Advises the Executive Director and the Council on personnel -related issues.
- Leadership Development - Designs and implements leadership development activities for Council members and staff.
- Program Planning and Evaluation - Conducts assessments, hearings and evaluations to determine the needs of persons with developmental disabilities
- Public Policy and Advocacy - Reviews, evaluates and the advises the Council and performs activities related to federal and state legislation and public policy impacting persons with developmental disabilities
COUNCIL TASK FORCES
There are four standing task forces: Healthcare/Prevention, Child Development/Education, Employment, and Community Living/Support Coordination. The task forces accomplish special assignments required to implement the Council's mission and state plan.
