Notice to all recipients of FDDC funds and grant fund applicants:
The Florida Developmental Disabilities Council ( FDDC ) has a policy that limits the amount of grant funds paid to a provider for indirect costs to a maximum of ten percent (10%) of salary and fringe benefits.
It is the policy of FDDC not to accept unsolicited proposals (those with detailed information such as scope of work and budget) from groups and individuals seeking funding from the council.
When a proposal is received, it should be immediately forwarded to the Executive Director who will send a response within two weeks, indicating the Council does not accept unsolicited proposals and directing them to comment on our state plan.
When a concept proposal (without a detailed work plan or budget) is received, it should be sent to the Executive Director who will send the form letter response within two weeks. At the same time, the Executive Director will forward the concept paper to the appropriate task force for consideration as a project, with a copy to PPE committee, so that both the task force and committee can consider these as comments on the state plan.
The Florida Developmental Disabilities Council, Inc. (FDDC) is pleased to announce that this request for proposals (RFP #2010-CD-8400) is released in order to provide funding for State Colleges and Local Educational Agencies (LEA) to collaborate on a small scale pilot project to create a program for five to ten students (18-22 years old) with intellectual and other developmental disabilities to be trained at an existing Florida State College Career and technical program, with their nondisabled peers, in a career field of their choice, leading to gainful employment.

The objective of this survey is to gather data on courses required and offered in teacher education programs throughout the state of Florida preparing general education teachers to include and support students with disabilities in their classes. The effectiveness of this project will be evaluated by the completeness of the data gathered.
