About Early Steps

Early Steps provides Florida’s infants and toddlers from birth to 36 months who have a developmental delay, or a condition that places them at risk for developmental delay, with early intervention services and supports to help them achieve developmental milestones. Early Steps is responsible for the success of children, many of whom are now young adults, whose lives and abilities have been dramatically improved by the services this program provides. In 2009-2010 alone, over 44,000 children in Florida benefited from Early Steps services.
