About the Council
Working toward systems change for Floridians with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
The Florida Developmental Disabilities Council is a 26-member advisory board, created by federal and state law, whose purpose is to promote policies and best practices for Floridians with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Individuals are appointed by the Governor.
Our Mission
To advocate and promote meaningful participation in all aspects of life for Floridians with developmental disabilities.
