First Steps: A Guide For Parents of Children With Developmental Disabilities - One of the Developmental Disabilities Council's most popular publications, the revised edition of this guide for parents of children with developmental disabilities covers such topics as acceptance, services, and the rights of people with disabilities. The publication is available both in Spanish and English, as well as in color and black and white (for ease of printing). Both versions of the publication are broken into chapters and the publications are only available in Acrobat Reader (PDF) format.
