Florida families and providers must be able to recruit and retain dedicated people to work with the direct care needs and demands of persons with developmental disabilities. Low wages for direct care staff remains a crisis and must be addressed.
This year, as we continue our Pay Fair for Care campaign, the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council (FDDC) is shedding light on the importance of direct care services and support for a fair wage. We hope to gain the attention of legislators and decision makers on this critical issue.
You can help support fair wages for direct care workers by sharing information on this page with those you know. We’ll be updating this site regularly with new materials and information so check in often. Together we can make a difference!
