About Our Campaign:
Florida families and providers must be able to recruit and retain dedicated people to work with the direct care needs and demands of persons with developmental disabilities. Low wages for direct care staff remains a crisis and must be addressed.
This year the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council (FDDC), the Arc of Florida and the Florida Association of Rehabilitation Facilities (FARF) are partnering to shed light on the importance of direct care services and support for a fair wage. Through the Pay Fair for Care campaign we hope to gain the attention of legislators and decision makers on this critical issue.
You can help support fair wages for direct care workers by sharing information on this page with those you know. View the videos and share the e-news. We’ll be updating this site regularly with new materials and information so check in often. Together we can make a difference!
