Elizabeth Yost’s Story – Melbourne, Florida

Melbourne, Florida – I’m a quadriplegic with spastic Cerebral Palsy. I’m also clinically non-verbal. My support staff are very important to me. They make it possible to live an independent life. Without support staff, I would be bedridden and I would have no means to function. Support staff are vital for someone such as myself, and I whole-heartedly believe that they need to be compensated for their hard work and dedication to the Healthcare field . I have been living independently since I was eighteen years old. My caregivers deserve more than they get paid currently. It’s not fair to ask them to do their job with so little money. It borderlines on being ridiculous, and in my humble opinion, it needs to be rectified immediately .
